Submission Windows and Ongoing Projects

QuirkHouse 5 Theatre Crawl

The submission window: 1st November to the 31st December
Winners announced: 31st January.

5 Plays, 5 Actors, 5 Writers, 5 Venues, 5 Short Walks

We welcome submissions from East Anglia-based writers
New writing
One 25 to 30 minute play per entrant
One actor (not necessarily one character!)
Props, costume and set must be basic and able to fit in a single 'bag for life'
No previous professional production
There is no theme, so feel free to get creative!

In the past we have gladly paid a fee to each successful writer but are unable to do that this year, due to financial losses caused by Covid; however, selected pieces will earn their writers two free tickets to a performance of their choice (and we will return to the old way as soon as feasible - we have always been of the outlook that everyone should win).

No more than four actors (not necessarily four characters!)
Props, costume and set must be basic / clever
No previous professional production
There is no theme, so feel free to get creative - though we especially like quirky, experimental, philosophical pieces.
